Mvc Screencast #6: StructureMap

It’s time for another episode of the Mvc Screencast! I hope you’ve been able to check out the first five episodes to date. If so, feel free to leave a comment here and let me know what you think. Don’t be shy about tweeting or sharing this series, either. I’d appreciate it if you did!

StructureMap – Dependency Injection for .NET

In this episode, I thought I’d provide a brief overview of Dependency Injection, and cover the oldest IoC container in the .NET space, StructureMap. I’ll cover how StructureMap is used in ASP.NET MVC v 1 and 2 applications, as well as options for its use in ASP.NET MVC 3, where better DI support has been built into the framework. In the last demo, I’ll cover some additional uses for StructureMap in ASP.NET MVC applications.

I have been following your MVC Screencast series and have found each video quite helpful. Your series has introduced me to some new patterns & frameworks that that I was either not aware of or never took the time to dive to deeply into.

I am looking forward to your next video.

note: You might want to update your main featured article. The "6. StructureMap – February 28th" item does not yet link to this page.
