Announcing HTML5.tx :: October 8, 2011

html5.tx-logo

For the past few months, I’ve been working with folks from various tech communities in Austin—and beyond!—to organize a conference for developers and designers of all backgrounds to come together and talk about the web.

The result: HTML5.tx, coming to Austin, TX on October 8th, 2011.

We have a simple landing page up, and registration is open at html5tx.eventbrite.com. The event is a steal at $79, so sign up now!

If you want more information, check out the registration page. I’ve also pasted the official event description below.

We’ll be putting out an official call for speakers soon—as well as announcing some of the folks we invited to come to town and melt our faces—but if you want to get a jump on speaker consideration, click the Contact button here on the blog and let me know what you are thinking.

We’re also looking for sponsors. If you’re interested in that, drop me a line via the Contact  form and I’ll send the sponsorship doc your way.

Hope to see you at the first annual HTML5.tx!

Event Details

HTML5.tx is the premier event for web designers, developers and technologists in Texas. This single-day event will be a place for people of all disciplines and backgrounds to learn from web experts and each other about HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the future of the web.

PHP, Rails, .NET, Python, JavaScript, and everything else will be there. We want you here. Love your browser of choice like a member of your family? Come tell us why. No matter what you do or who you are, if you love the web, you can expect to be surrounded with some of the best web-heads in Texas and beyond.

HTML5.tx will feature a great line-up of speakers, social events the night before and after the event, and people from most of the web technologies out there. You don’t want to miss it.
